New York's Colonial Dutch History: An Education Resource from the New York State Archives
This is an education resource created by the New York State Archives--with funding from the Dutch Consulate and support from NNI--to provide teachers with document sets and lesson plans highlighting New York's Dutch colonial history.
The resource explores both the global nature of the Dutch colonial experience and life in New Netherland, specifically Rensselaerswyck, Beverwyck and Fort Orange. Documents and paintings are from the New York State Archives, New York State Library, and other repositories throughout the United States and Europe. All the documents are free for educational use.

About the New Netherland Institute
For over three decades, NNI has helped cast light on America's Dutch roots. In 2010, it partnered with the New York State Office of Cultural Education to establish the New Netherland Research Center, with matching funds from the State of the Netherlands.
