ALICE P. KENNEY TRAVEL SCHOLARSHIP

Thanks to generous support from the Kenney estate, in 2019 the New Netherland Institute offered, for the first time, the Alice P. Kenney Travel Grant to help cover travel costs for "students" to attend our 42nd Annual Conference. Current enrollment in an academic program is not required.

The purpose of the award is to support the travel of scholars at the early stage of their career who have an interest in New Netherland. A recent graduate who is considering graduate school, for example, is eligible. The definition of student is at the discretion of the committee.

To apply, please send a one-page explanation of how attendance at the conference will help your development as a scholar to nni@newnetherlandinstitute.org along with a rough travel budget. If your travel is minimal, don't hesitate to apply for funds to cover only the cost of conference registration.
